The S-IC was the first stage of the Saturn V rocket, which launched all flights carrying a Command/Service Module and Lunar Module, all lunar missions, and the Skylab Orbital Workshop. It had five F-1 rocket engines, burning RP-1 and liquid oxygen (LOX).
